Commissioning Engineer / Commissioning Manager
Location: Singapore (Permanent Role)
Travel: Regular travel required to project sites across Southeast Asia
Overview
An established engineering organization is seeking a Project / Commissioning Engineer to support the successful delivery of complex technical projects. This role works closely with site commissioning teams and project stakeholders to ensure systems are delivered, tested, and handed over according to project requirements, procedures, and timelines.
Depending on experience, candidates may be considered for Senior Commissioning Engineer, Assistant Commissioning Manager, or Commissioning Manager level positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project leadership in delivering projects safely and successfully.
- Participate in testing and commissioning activities, from factory acceptance testing through to final integrated system testing.
- Track site progress and coordinate technical discussions with project stakeholders.
- Participate in project and site meetings, addressing technical queries where required.
- Review contractor documentation, including vendor submissions and commissioning procedures.
- Witness testing activities performed by contractors and confirm compliance with specifications.
- Maintain project documentation and assist with administrative project requirements.
- Contribute to health, safety, and environmental compliance, including hazard reporting and safe work practices.
- Ensure proper tracking and organization of commissioning records and reports.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, though Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related disciplines will also be considered.
- Eligibility to work in Singapore.
- Willingness to work on-site and travel to regional project locations.
- Relevant experience in MEP systems, building services coordination, or testing and commissioning environments.
- Experience working in international or large project environments is advantageous.
- Familiarity with MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability.
- Proactive, reliable, and comfortable making decisions in dynamic environments.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
- Effective interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills
