Position Overview

The Corporate Strategy Manager is responsible for developing, evaluating, and executing strategic initiatives to ensure long-term growth, profitability, and sustainability of the mining operations. The role provides insights on market trends, competitive positioning, investment opportunities, and business transformation initiatives. Working closely with executive leadership, the Corporate Strategy Manager ensures the company’s strategies are aligned with corporate goals, operational realities, and stakeholder expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Developing corporate strategies and business plans to support growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
  • Analysing industry trends, market opportunities, and competitor activities to inform executive decision-making.
  • Evaluating investment opportunities, partnerships, and project portfolios to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Facilitating strategic planning processes across departments to ensure integration of operational and corporate goals.
  • Monitoring performance against strategic objectives, preparing reports and recommendations for management and the Board.
  • Driving organizational transformation by identifying and implementing initiatives that improve efficiency, governance, and sustainability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Engineering.
  • Minimum 8–10 years in strategy, corporate planning, consulting, or business development, with exposure to mining, energy, or natural resources industries.
  • Proven experience in leading strategic projects, business analysis, or corporate transformation.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Knowledge of mining sector trends, market dynamics, and ESG standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Project management and change management capabilities.
