Role Overview
This senior position sits within the project delivery team and is pivotal throughout the execution and transition phases of a major floating LNG development. Acting as the owner’s representative, the Technical & Site Manager will oversee technical integrity and site activities for the floating regasification unit. The role ensures all engineering, regulatory, and operational requirements are upheld from design and construction through commissioning and into the early stages of operations. A key responsibility will also be managing the seamless handover from project execution into ongoing operations, guaranteeing safe, reliable performance across all operating scenarios as set out in the charter agreement. The role includes extended assignment at the shipyard during construction.
Profile Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Chemical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent, with seagoing experience as Chief Engineer on LNG carriers or regasification vessels.
- 25+ years in LNG, including at least 10 years in senior technical/operational authority roles on floating LNG projects spanning EPC through commissioning.
- Prior exposure to FSRU/FLNG developments and/or direct service as Chief Engineer will be highly advantageous.
- Strong technical expertise in regasification processes, cargo containment, and integration with receiving facilities.
- Experience in installation, commissioning, operations, and troubleshooting of floating LNG assets, including cryogenic systems and cargo handling.
- Solid grounding in process safety as applied to floating regasification units.
