Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Corrosion Engineer to join a leading EPC company for a high-profile offshore project. The role will initially be focused on the engineering/design phase, with involvement in material selection, painting, and coating systems for topside and subsea components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead corrosion protection strategy during the engineering phase of an offshore project.
- Review and approve painting and coating specifications in line with client and industry standards (e.g., NORSOK, ISO, DNV).
- Select appropriate corrosion-resistant materials and protective systems for offshore environments.
- Interface with process, structural, piping, and procurement teams to ensure alignment across disciplines.
- Support technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews related to coating and corrosion systems.
- Participate in HAZIDs, model reviews, and material selection workshops.
- Ensure full compliance with client specifications and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in corrosion engineering for offshore oil & gas projects.
- Strong knowledge of coating systems, CP design, and material selection.
- Familiarity with major EPC workflows and project phases.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
