We are recruiting on behalf of a leading gold mining operator seeking a PMO professional to support capital project oversight and delivery. The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of experience, preferably from a consulting background, with exposure to mining and EPC projects.

Position Overview:

To lead and manage the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring effective project governance, standardized project management practices, and successful execution of the organization’s portfolio of projects. The PMO Manager plays a strategic role in aligning projects with business goals, monitoring project performance, and supporting project managers across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain project management frameworks, tools, templates, and best practices.
• Provide governance and oversight for all active and proposed projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Monitor project performance metrics (cost, schedule, scope, and quality) and prepare consolidated reports for senior management.
• Support project managers with planning, execution, and risk management strategies.
• Lead portfolio planning and prioritization efforts in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Coordinate resource allocation and capacity planning across projects.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
• Facilitate lessons-learned sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage PMO staff and develop their capabilities through training and mentoring
